Allkpoet Lee Joon recently voted to leave the etsy marketplace for Instagram, citing a lack of quality content.
“It’s difficult to create something when you’re just making things for yourself,” he said, according to The Korea Times.
“I think etsy is a great platform, but if we want to continue to create things, we need to make sure we’re doing it well.”
The decision came after a number of posts on the blog shared by AllkPop members criticized the e-commerce giant’s business model and its lack of transparency.
“If you don’t like the way things work, then go back to the dark web,” one post stated.
“But don’t be afraid to share your opinions.”
Other posts have criticized the platform’s design, stating that the site has “the exact same content as etsy.”
“It looks similar to what you’d find on etsy.
But you can get different content from different vendors on there, too,” another post stated, according the report.
Etsy’s business was created in 2009, and has since grown into a well-known marketplace where e-tailers sell handmade goods.
Allk Pop is one of the first Korean indie rock bands to have hit the charts.
